Termites in the tubby Admin

We just discovered in some planks of our wooden hot tub and on our deck that surrounds it, some evidence of termite damage. I called several termite companies and they say the only way to treat it is to do a spot treatment. We have to drain the tub and then they inject the poison in the holes where they can see it. Does anybody know how safe it is to do this on a hot tub? Any suggestions?
